Latest News:
Chad received an email today and was able to visit a bit with the placement director here at the seminary.
There has been "a good meeting." Zion and Grace at Crookston and Merriman, NE "are very interested in having Chad as their vicar." There is a supervisor and Circuit Counselor ready and "on board and encouraging the congregations to move forward."
And here's just a little *icing* from Above...
*Our upstairs neighbor is best friends with the retiring pastor's son
*And on Friday night we met a student who is best friends with the retiring pastor's daughter
Where are these people coming from?
And my favorite part...
*The pastor Chad will be replacing is the father of NINE children! What are the chances? Do you think it's coincidence that our little "large" family is replacing another?
So what do you think? Think it's safe to celebrate? There's still some details getting taken care of and without official paperwork, we're cautiously excited.

Dad and I were so excited to get Chads phone call last night, and its even more exciting Becky seeing this in writing. Praise God for this bit of "icing"; now almost 3 weeks later. Even be more EXCITED when you get the paper work in hand!! Praise God:)
Becky, we are cautiously throwing our hands up in the air and praising God... can you do that cautiously???:) We will continue to pray that all the details come together. I love that the retiring Pastor had 9 kids. What are the chances? Did they live in the parsonage? I can't wait to hear more. Thinking of and praying for you all during this crazy time of transition.

We're happy to hear some news! Do you have any idea when it will be "confirmed"? Looking forward to seeing you in just a couple weeks!
