It seems as though every small town in Nebraska has it's very own celebration. Our town is no different, and ours is called Street Car Days due to the Street Car that used to travel through the middle of town years ago. Zion Lutheran had a float this year, and we went with a Jungle Theme since we had many of the decorations from VBS. Some of us dressed in animal costumes (Asher as a monkey, Isabel a giraffe, Grant a toucan) and the rest of us dressed as jungle guides. We played rockin' Christian music and threw out a ton of candy. We had our website and facebook info. along the side small boards, and "No matter the worry or care, Zion knows it's a jungle out there" as well as Hebrews 13:8 on the back. We used a green window marker for the leaves on the van.

We were SO SO surprised to learn that we not only won first prize in our category but also won first place OVERALL! Yay! The kids were thrilled, as they were such big helpers with the entire float.
