I'm sure I've mentioned how blessed we feel that we now live in the same state as all of our family and much of our extended family. Living several states or countries away, for half of our married years, has created a special appreciation. It fills the heart to be able to get together for laughs and memory making. So we get together with cousins for birthdays, often celebrating several together...
piling kiddos on grandparents...
snuggling...
watching our aunts love on their grandbabies (my thoughtful Aunt Diane on the right with her cute granddaughter, love this!), our grandparents love on their grands and great grands, our siblings love on their nieces and nephews and our parents love on our kids - their grandkids
serving together on mission projects (here the kids are at the Orphan Grain Train...
playing with cousins...
pigging out at family meals and swapping stories and recipes...
finding ways to celebrate extra when Aunt Amy (my middle sister) and Uncle Frank make it home from Maryland (they are so good about making a few trip each year)...
cuddling the little ones...
while they still are little...
and just capturing snapshots of fun times. (My uncle Bill and aunt Jeanette on the bottom right, my mom's brother.)
