Super Long

Last month we drove to Texas to pick up our new (used) camper trailer that Chad found on Ebay after extensive searching and researching online. We had such grand dreams of adventure while planning this trip. We were going to eat exciting food in each state we drove through, see amazing friends along the way, and make wonderful memories. Unfortunately I got the flu and we had to cancel with all of our friends (I can't tell you the disappoinment), needless to say the exciting food wasn't as appealing, and on the way home we had a wheel bearing go out on our van - big time! So our adventures consisted of many miles of driving with few stops, a wobbly wheel (the mechanic said we were fortunate the wheel did not come off), a tow truck and a SUV(because a family of eight doesn't fit in a tow truck of course) to bring the rest of us back to the city, 12 hours in the Wichita, Kansas Ford dealership and a VERY big sigh of relief to get home. Here's a photo of what we look like traveling down the road. Stay tuned for the next adventure!
