2012 Recap Part 2

The kids' first Bible Bee, with their Bible Bee Grandparents (see the official button on Mom:)).  It was a lot of work, but oh-so-rewarding.  Now they have over 100 verses stored in their hearts and minds and they have shared those with their great grandparents, both of our churches, the nursing homes of both of the towns we serve, as well as the low income housing area where Chad does devotions.  People love to hear the kids sing their verses.

The 3-4 hour project that stretched into weeks...Chad and Drew were finishing the sheetrock on our downstairs bathroom when his last screw (his last screw!) hit a water pipe.  We helplessly and frantically watched the water gush out between the seams of that project while panicking...and running around our house trying to figure out where the water valve was located.  Oh, the poor church people he called probably thought their pastor had lost it...the kids were wide eyed and praying because they had never heard their daddy use such a high pitched crazy voice before (we can laugh only now).  We now have a new bathroom set of sheetrock, new paint, and new carpet in the boys' room.  Great homeschooling experience too...what will they likely need more in their future?  The ability to diagram sentences OR measure, cut, screw sheetrock, scrape, sand and paint?
Evan gave tackle football a try.  We were looking for flag football, you know, to try and ease into it.  Well in a small town, you get what the community offers.  We signed him up, he loved it and we all learned A LOT.  He is really inspired by Tim Tebow and we love to give him opportunities to work with another team, besides the Boggs Team :).
